1. Who We Are

Story Pill ("we", "our", "us") is a digital storytelling app providing read, listen, and watch story content for users of all ages. We are the data controller for information collected through this app. For all privacy matters, contact us at storypill.support@brevloy.com.

2. How You Sign In — Google Login Play Store required

Story Pill uses Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0) as the only login method. When you sign in with Google, we receive only:

• Your Google display name (for personalising your in-app greeting)
• Your Google profile email address (for account identification and support)
• Your Google profile photo URL (optional, for display purposes only)

We do not request access to your Gmail messages, contacts, Drive, Calendar, or any other Google services. Google's own Privacy Policy governs data processed during sign-in.

3. Information We Collect

• Account data: Name and email provided via Google Sign-In.
• Usage data: Stories you read, listen to, or watch — used only to personalise recommendations within the app.
• Device information: Device type, OS version, and app version for performance and compatibility improvements.
• Crash reports: Anonymised error logs to improve app stability.

We do not collect precise location, phone contacts, SMS/call logs, payment details, biometric data, or any sensitive personal information.

4. Advertising Play Store required

Story Pill contains no advertisements of any kind — no banner ads, no interstitials, no video ads, and no third-party ad SDKs. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

5. Children's Privacy Families policy

Story Pill is designed for all ages, including children. We fully comply with Google Play's Families Policy and COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act).

• Children under 13 must have a parent or guardian set up their Google account before using the app.
• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what Google Sign-In provides.
• No behavioural profiling or targeted advertising is applied to any user.
• Parents may request deletion of their child's account and all associated data at any time by emailing storypill.support@brevloy.com.

6. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate your identity and maintain your account.
• To personalise story recommendations based on your reading activity.
• To send optional notifications about new stories (can be disabled in device settings).
• To diagnose technical issues and improve app performance.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing. We may share data only with:

• Google (OAuth provider): Only to authenticate your login.
• Cloud hosting provider: To store your account and usage data securely.
• Crash reporting tools: Anonymised data only — no personal identifiers.
• Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect user safety.

8. Account Deletion Mandatory since Dec 2023

You have the right to delete your Story Pill account and all associated data at any time. Here is how:

• In-app: Go to Settings → Account → Delete My Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
• By email: Send a deletion request to storypill.support@brevloy.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". We will process your request within 7 days.

Upon deletion, all personal data (name, email, reading history) is permanently removed. Anonymised, non-identifiable usage statistics may be retained for service improvement.

9. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, personal data is removed within 7 days. Anonymised crash logs and aggregate statistics may be retained indefinitely.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your region, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact storypill.support@brevloy.com.

11. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit and secure cloud storage for data at rest. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

12. Where to Find This Policy In-App

This Privacy Policy is accessible at any time from within the app via Settings → Privacy Policy, and is also linked on our Google Play Store listing page.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via an in-app notice or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Story Pill mobile application operated by Story Pill ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

Story Pill is available to users of all ages. Users under 13 must have a parent or guardian set up their Google account. By allowing a child to use the app, the parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on the child's behalf.

3. Google Sign-In

Story Pill uses Google Sign-In for authentication. By signing in, you authorise us to access your Google display name, email address, and profile photo as described in our Privacy Policy. You must comply with Google's Terms of Service when using this feature.

4. Licence to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Story Pill for personal, non-commercial purposes only. This licence does not permit you to:

• Reproduce, distribute, or publicly display app content without written permission.
• Modify, decompile, or reverse engineer any part of the app.
• Use the app or its content for commercial purposes.
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract content from the app.

5. Content Ownership

All stories, illustrations, audio narrations, videos, and other content within Story Pill are owned by us or licensed to us. You may not copy, distribute, or use this content outside the app without our express written permission.

6. Advertisements

Story Pill is completely ad-free. We do not display advertisements and we do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes — ever.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Story Pill to violate any applicable laws, harass or harm others, upload malicious software, or attempt unauthorised access to the app or its servers.

8. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

Some premium features may require a paid subscription processed via Google Play. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Refunds are subject to Google Play's refund policy. To manage or cancel subscriptions, visit Google Play → Subscriptions.

9. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Account → Delete My Account in the app, or by emailing storypill.support@brevloy.com. Deletion is permanent and removes all your personal data within 7 days.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Story Pill is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the app at any time.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Story Pill shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
